Whalen - Daisy Henthorn

Mrs. Daisy Whalen, 75, 1410 W. Main St., died Tuesday in Culver Hospital. She had done secretarial work and practical nursing most of her life. She had been a member of the First Christian Church since 1919 and was a member of Circle III, Christian Women Fellowship. Mrs. Whalen was born Sept. 29, 1897, in Snyder, Ill., a daughter of Dr. William A. and Lucy Belle Moore Henthorn. She was educated in Montgomery and Fountain county schools. Survivors include two brothers, Edgar L. Henthorn of Waynetown and M. Dewey Henthorn of Roachdale, and three sisters, Mrs. Floyd (Mary) Davidson of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Helen Demoret of Crawfordsville and Mrs. William (Bertha) French of Veedersburg. She was preceded in death by a son, Lloyd William; four brothers, John, Everett, Charles and Elmer, and two sisters, Nellie and Eva. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Burkhart Funeral Home with Rev. Howard Miller and Rev. Loren Hetrick officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Thursday. – jlr
